Can you travel when pregnant? Are there any risks to you and your baby if you travel? Take a look at the general information below for safe travel when pregnant. Depending on your destination, your health and how far you are into your pregnancy, a doctor may or may not advise you against overseas travel. You should schedule a check-up with your physician who will give you the options.

Some vaccinations can be harmful to an unborn baby. Depending on the level of danger of disease, your health and your reasons for travel, a doctor may believe that the protection a vaccination gives outweighs any potential danger.

If you are planning to become pregnant you should wait about a month following travel vaccinations before you start trying to conceive. If you are in your third trimester, it is likely that your doctor will advise you to postpone travel until after the birth.
